Weddings & Celebrations

A wedding in the Mountains is one which not only creates a bonding memory for you and your partner but makes a lifelong connection to all your guests. Exchanging vows atop North Star Mountain is a postcard that very few are fortunate enough to create. The chairlift ride alone makes a statement that this is a special day and from the top there are few backdrops as spectacular as Fisher Peak and the Purcell range to bare witness to your promise of commitment. We'll even hang a "Just Married" sign on the back of the chairlift that carries you back down the mountain to the stunning Kimberley Conference Centre and your celebration.

A good place to be tying the knot

Whether you plan an intimate family gathering of 20 or you have more friends than a Lottery winner and need seating for 350 we have a space for you. Our Grand Ballroom with towering 20 foot ceilings has been witness to history time and again. Our reception area, with it's crystal walkway and snow drop lights has comforted many a father as he escorts his princess to her new life. The walls will echo the compliments of your guests as you float down the glass encased ramp. Inside the Grand Ballroom the toasts are made and laughter flows. If you allow the best man to bring a file of embarrassing photos we can project your images on giant wall mounted screens. Dance floor, Stage, DJs, Bands, Photographers, Hairdressers - we can help with those. We'll even book tee times for the active and spa times for the "not so active".

“It was THE best day of my life! It was unbelievable. I can't thank you enough for putting me at ease with our wedding reception at the Conference Center. What more can I say besides thank you, thank you, thank you!!” ~Stephanie Donald

Hosting your wedding in Kimberley means your guests are here for the weekend. They are not squeezing in your celebration between dropping the kids off at soccer and taking the dog to the vet. Your friends and family are here to be with you for the whole event. That means that if you chose a winter wedding you can ski with your friends before, after or even during the wedding. In Summer the bridal party can kick off the weekend with a pre-event golf game, a team rafting trip or a Mountain Wine Tasting. Kimberley is a nature lovers paradise.

Kimberley has mild winters, blue sky summers and friendly locals. Only twenty minutes from the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook means you can be on a honeymoon flight to Mexico before most of your guests have arrived home. You`ll also have a lot more pesos left over as a wedding in Kimberley is surprisingly affordable. No big city prices here. Your reception, your accommodation and all your entertainment will be very kind to your budget.

Kimberley is, after all:
A good place to be tying the knot

The Kimberley Alpine Discovery Camp is ready for Campers from July 9-22!

Our unique summer camp experience makes the most of everything Kimberley has to offer.

Located at 1,200 meters above sea level, yurt accommodations are shouting distance from the village area at the Kimberley Alpine Resort in City limits, and within sight of the Kimberley Conference Centre where meals, showers, daily yoga, and rainy day activities will be offered. Our Environmental Education partners will offer expert instruction on topics such as invasive species and animal migration.

Campers are a twenty minute walk from downtown Kimberley where they’ll experience Kimberley’s history at the Underground Mining Railway, hang out at Spirit Rock Climbing Centre, and get creative with Centre 64. Also within City limits campers will explore Canada’s largest urban park, the Kimberley Nature Park, play a round of mini-putt and cool off at the Kimberley Riverside Campground.

Hanging out in traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, you will learn about the region’s First Nations from neighbors at the ʔAQ’AM community. As well, you will discover what life was like in the region’s first European settlement at Fort Steele Heritage Town.

    • 3 Day Camp: $350 per camper
    • 6 Day Camp: $599 per camper
